DIY TURMERIC FACE MASK



Hey fam, am back with the newest game changer in the beauty industry. This face and neck mask works wonders for those who desires a glowy and acne - free face and it is also used by those who suffers from hyperpigmentation, acne, blemishes and clogged/dry skin.
First of, before using this mask; you must have cleansed and done some exfoliation on your face to help remove dead skin cells and unclog your pores.
Below are details on the ingredients used for the making of this mask;

TURMERIC POWDER (Curcuma Longa)
It is the spice that gives curry it's yellow colour. It has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. It contains bioactive compounds with medicinal properties known as Curcuminoids, the most important of which is Curcumin. Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.

PLAIN YOGHURT 
Yoghurt is a popular dairy product that's made by the bacterial fermentation of milk. The bacteria used to make yoghurt are called "Yogurt Cultures", which ferment lactose, the natural sugar found in milk. It is rich in nutrients and may boost your health when consumed regularly.

RAW HONEY
It comes straight from the honeycomb. The beekeeper will usually just filter the honey to remove small bits of debris including pollen, beeswax and parts of dead bees. They do not pasteurize the honey and they differ from the regular honey but it is still safe to eat. Raw honey contains bee pollen, which has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, certain vitamins and minerals, enzymes and amino acids.

TEA TREE OIL
They are derived from the leaves of the tea tree. Tea tree oil is applied to the skin for the infections such as acne, fungal infections of the nail(Onychomycosis), lice, scabies, athlete's foot(Tinea pedis) and ringworm. It is also used as an antiseptic. It also has some side effects when used wrongly.

LEMON JUICE
It has high amount of vitamin C and it helps in boosting the immune system. It also has some cleansing properties for skin which makes it an ideal beauty product. Direct application of lemon juice combined with honey is the best way to get rid of dark spots, skin discoloration and stretch marks.

CUCUMBER
Though commonly thought to be a vegetable, cucumber is actually a fruit. Its high in beneficial nutrients, as well as certain plant compounds and antioxidants that may help treat and even prevent some conditions. They are composed of about 96% water, which may increase hydration, they are low in calories thus they aid weightloss.

INGREDIENTS USED
Turmeric powder
Milk / Plain yoghurt
Tea tree oil
Raw honey
Lemon juice
Cucumber slices

FACE PREPARATION
Wash your face and remove all traces of makeup, exfoliate or use a facial scrub to get rid of dead skin cells and open up clogged pores. Wear a shirt you are not attached to incase it gets stained.

PROCEDURE
1. Pour tumeric powder in a glass bowl or stainless bowl (never use plastic to avoid stains), add honey and milk/plain yoghurt.
2. Add few drops of lemon juice(about 5 drops depending on the quantity of the turmeric) and tea tree oil(about 2/3 drops). Your mixtures shouldn't be runny or too thick in texture.

APPLICATION
Apply the mask evenly all over your face abd neck if you desire, put 2 cucumber slices over your eyes and lay down. Let the mask dry on your face for 20mins and then wash it off with cool water.
NB: continuous usage of this mask will lighten your complexion...
